The Carbon Literacy Training & Challenge is an informed approach to helping departments and organisations make small or large changes to reduce their carbon footprint.
Most of us are not really aware of our individual or department emissions, for example the 50g of CO2 emissions for every email with an attachment that you send. Or that a laptop that is on for 8 hours a day emits, on average, between 44 and 88 kg of CO2 per year and only falls to about a third of that in stand-by mode. You might not be aware that flying to attend a conference a mere 300 miles away, say from London to Glasgow, emits 250kg of CO2 each way.
This challenge is not designed to be judgemental, or punitive. It serves as a cheat sheet to help us all become aware of the carbon footprint of our organisational processes and actions.
Can your Carbon Literacy help to inform your strategy that puts your organisation in the position of a Climate Action leader?
Join us to become more carbon literate and make the changes that you want to make to help create a healthier, happier planet.
No judgement, no pressure, just empowerment.
