Anna is a cookery teacher and chef with a love of food and 20 years’ experience. She believes that cooking and eating together are satisfying, creative and bring people together. She enjoys showing people that anyone – not just chefs – can make and enjoy delicious food.
Since 2002 Anna has worked as a community cookery teacher. The hundreds of people who have come to her courses have regularly said things like “I didn’t know it could be so easy,” and “I didn’t know I liked cooking”. With experience and qualifications in patisserie, vegan cookery, teaching adults and teaching English as an additional language, Anna has created and taught cookery courses for a wide variety of groups and individuals. These include courses for people with learning disabilities, refugees and asylum seekers, families and people who would like to eat more healthily.
A founder member of 2 local community groups for refugees and other migrants Anna has co-authored a series of cookery books of international recipes.
Anna also plays wind instruments from recorders to bagpipes for raucous ceilidhs and sedate Regency dances.
